STEAM Showcase & Competition School Info

Purpose: The Best Southwest Partnership Region has a wealth of talent in the area of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Mathematics. In fact, every signal school district has made incredible investments in STEAM Education. Unfortunately, our students and educators are not always recognized for how well they are preparing for the needs of tomorrow, today!

Members of the BSWP are so enamored by the talent in the region that we have developed the STEAM Showcase & Competition where our high schools in the region will compete to win $500-$5,000 and bragging rights as our STEAM Champion!

Competitors registered to date include students from ; Cedar Hill ISD, Lancaster ISD, Red Oak ISD and Ruby Young Personalized STEAM Academy. There is no charge to compete or showcase but registration is required. Please use this link to register your school: School Registration Link

Doors will open at 8AM for School Set Up. Each registered school will have a 10×10 booth to showcase their STEAM related projects.

Doors will open at 9AM to the public. Opening remarks and welcome will be at 9:30AM followed by competitions beginning at 10AM.

Networking lunch will happen at 12 noon. Lunch will be provided for registered students and school staff. Additional food will be available for purchase for event attendees.

Hands on sessions will be held in the afternoon for guests to participate.

 

Closing session with awards will begin at 2PM. Schools are asked to be packed up and gone by 3PM.

Competitions: Get some teams together to compete. All items needed to compete will be provided at no cost to the schools but registration is required.
