The Best Southwest region has immediate access to highways, air, and rail. Strategically positioned within the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex, the region has access to IH35E, US67, IH20 and the future Loop 9 southern corridor.

From the Best Southwest, you can reach 35% of the US population by vehicle within 24 hours and 98 percent within 48 hours.

Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), the fourth busiest by aircraft movement and twelfth busiest by passenger traffic airport in the world, is 27 miles from the region.

Dallas Love Field (DAL), located in heart of Dallas is 19 miles form the region and serves both commercial and corporate needs.

Union Pacific and BNSF Railway converge in the Best Southwest and are accessible from across the country giving businesses an alternate mode of transporting goods to and from their facilities. The Best Southwest is also home to the UP Intermodal facility and Southern Dallas Inland Port. These facilities offer unique transportation advantages to businesses both large and small.

The Best Southwest Partnership recognizes the importance of Transportation to the region and has designated it as one of the Partnerships four core initiatives. Our Transportation Committee works with our local government partners, TXDOT, DART, Star Transit and others to plan and develop solutions to elevate the transportation of people, goods and services throughout the Best Southwest Region.
