Regional Economic Development (RED) Summit

You are invited to join in on the annual Regional Economic Development Summit. This event will be held in Lancaster at Dallas College - Cedar Valley Campus in their new Student Engagement Center.

This event's line up is packed with incredible things happening in our Best Southwest Region that you will not want to miss hearing about

The event will open with a Scholars & Steam Showcase. Scholars from the February S.T.E.A.M Showcase & Competition will be demonstrating their talents. and the Mayoral Scholarship recipients will be recognized.

The first panel of the afternoon features Best Southwest Partnership Chair, Stephanie Starrett, who will facilitate a discussion with some of the newest employers in our area.

The Economic Development Showcase is always informative. Partnership economic development corporations will showcase STEAM related developments new to Best Southwest region.

The second panel will be facilitated by Kenya Wilson, Director of College and Career Readiness Programs with Educate Texas Communities Foundation of Texas. She will facilitate a discussion with BSWP School Superintendents and college leaders on talent development in our area.

We will wrap up this great event with a VIP Networking Cocktail hour on the rooftop decSponsorships available but going quickly. Please see flyer below for all details.

2024 RED Summit Project Submissions

Every BSWP partner city is invited to submit two Economic Development Projects in the last 12 months that have impacted your community. We encourage the projects you showcase be STEAM related to keep with our STEAM focus these last couple years. These projects will be included on a 24 x 36 display board and in a power point presentation to be shown at the RED Summit on April 25, 2024 from 1 - 4PM. Each EDC is encouraged to invite those companies / entities being recognized to attend the event to be present for photo / media opportunities.

RED Showcase Display Board Submission – DEADLINE March 29 – Display boards will cost $150 each.
New this year we are offering an EDC VIP Package for $225. Package includes one display board, one admission to event, one admission to cocktail networking hour and one SWAG Bag. Gold level sponsorships and higher will include all those benefits except the cost of the board.
