About UNT Dallas

The University of North Texas at Dallas is the only four-year public university in the City of Dallas, and the only university in the region to focus on urban Dallas students. With an enrollment surpassing 4,000, UNT Dallas is recognized as the fastest-growing public university in Texas.

Boasting a diverse student population that is 85% minority, 70% of UNT Dallas students are first-generation. UNT Dallas is committed to bridging the education gap that exists in Dallas-Fort Worth by providing high-quality degree programs and the lowest tuition costs in DFW. UNT Dallas offers 27 undergraduate and eight graduate degree programs in the School of Business, School of Education, School of Human Services, School of Liberal Arts and Sciences, and the Graduate School. The number of UNT Dallas graduates has increased by 80% from 2015 to 2019. The majority of graduates remain in Dallas and fill high-demand jobs in fields such as criminal justice and law enforcement, education, counseling, hospitality and business, including fast-growing employment sectors like logistics and supply chain management.

Intercollegiate athletics start at UNT Dallas in the 2020-21 academic year with men’s and women’s basketball, cross country and track.

UNT Dallas includes the College of Law in downtown Dallas. Located in the completely renovated “Old City Hall” building, UNT Dallas College of Law is the most affordable law school in the state, and one of the most diverse in the country.
